Who We Are
The Bangladesh Dialogue is a youth-led civil society platform established in post-July Bangladesh that is dedicated to advancing democratic values. It brings together a diverse group of lawyers, businessmen, teachers, students, and activists.
We are an independent, youth-led civic institution committed to strengthening democracy, civic education, public dialogue, climate action, culture and leadership in Bangladesh. We bring together citizens, policymakers, academics, practitioners and young leaders to foster meaningful conversations, inspire informed action and build a more inclusive and democratic future.
Through research, storytelling, civic engagement, leadership development and public convening, TBD seeks to nurture the ideas, institutions, and people that will shape tomorrow’s Bangladesh.
Of the People, by the People, for the People.

Our Approach
The Bangladesh Dialogue: Honoring Sacrifice, Shaping Democracy
The Bangladesh Dialogue was founded in the spirit of the July Movement of 2024, a historic struggle that ended years of authoritarian rule and paved the way for a democratic awakening. For over 15 years, citizens endured oppression, silenced voices, and systemic corruption that fueled widespread inequality. The sacrifice of hundreds who gave their lives for justice, democracy, and freedom inspired the creation of this platform.
Our mission is to bring together policymakers, academics, youth, and civil society to openly address the nation’s pressing challenges. By fostering meaningful dialogue and exchanging ideas, we aim to rebuild a just, inclusive, and democratic Bangladesh.
Through research, advocacy, and informed discussion, The Bangladesh Dialogue seeks to influence decision-making that upholds the rule of law, protects human rights, and ensures equitable development—preserving the legacy of July 2024 for generations to come.
