The Bangladesh Dialogue welcomes blog submissions from authors who can provide insightful, evidence-based, and thought-provoking content on public policy, governance, economics, international relations, sustainable development, social issues, and other topics relevant to Bangladesh and the global context. 1. Submission Format
- All articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- Ensure the document is fully editable, free of unnecessary formatting, embedded objects, or tracked changes.
- Include any figures, tables, or images in-line or as separate files, with proper captions and references.
- Submissions should be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
2. Article Structure
Your submission should follow a clear and professional structure:
- Title: Provide a concise, engaging, and descriptive title that reflects the content of the article.
- Author Name: Include the full name of the author directly below the title.
- Main Body:
- Articles should be well-organisedwith a logical flow of ideas.
- Use subheadings to improve readability where appropriate.
- Support claims with evidence, data, or references to credible sources.
- Avoid jargon unless necessary; define technical terms when used.
- Maintain a professional and neutral tone, suitable for a policy and research audience.
- References / Citations
- Include a list of references at the end of the article in a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, Chicago, or MLA).
- Ensure all external sources are properly cited.
- Author Note (Bio)
- Include a brief author biography of no more than 30 words.
- Example: “MR. Asif Sarkar is a researcher specialising in governance, public policy, and democratic institutions.”
3. Word Count
- Standard articles should be 1,000-2,000 words.
- Longer pieces covering novel or urgent issues may be considered, subject to editorial review.
4. Language
- Submissions can be in English or Bangla.
- Articles in other languages must be translated into English or Bangla prior to submission.
- Maintain clarity, proper grammar, and readability in the chosen language.
5. Originality and Ethics
- Articles must be original and unpublished.
- Properly attribute all sources, data, and quotations.
- Avoid conflicts of interest; disclose any affiliations relevant to the content.
6. Review and Publication
- All submissions undergo editorial review for quality, relevance, and adherence to guidelines.
- TBD reserves the right to edit for clarity, style, and length prior to publication.
- Authors may be asked to revise content based on editorial feedback.
