The National Youth Wellness Fest 2026, held on 22–23 April at BRAC University, was a unique effort focusing on encouraging young mental health, emotional wellbeing, creativity, and community participation. The two-day festival was organized by The Flow Fest under the inspiring theme, “You Be You: Find Your Flow.” The event drew over 1,000 students from multiple universities across Bangladesh and provided a secure and vibrant environment in which young people were able to openly engage in talks and activities relating to health and self-care.

Chords, the cultural wing of The Bangladesh Dialogue, was one of the partner organizations that took part in the festival. Throughout the program, Chords members enthusiastically participated in a number of activities and sessions. For those who frequently suffer with daily life pressure, worry, anxiety, and the weight of everyday commitments, the event offered a refreshing and significant experience. Through artistic and wellness-based activities, the festival offered a chance for many Chords members to relax, rebuild their connections, and achieve emotional balance.

The festival was designed differently from conventional regular programs. Instead of focusing only on formal discussions, the organizers created interactive experiences through yoga, meditation, art healing sessions, music, storytelling, and open discussions on mental health. These activities encouraged participants to express themselves freely and connect with others without fear of judgment.

One of the major highlights of the event was the “Healing Hour,” where participants explored different wellness activities according to their interests. Participants engaged in painting, graffiti, portrait drawings, fencing, mindfulness exercises, and guided group discussions. These activities demonstrated that healing and self-care can happen through many different forms of expression and creativity.

The organizers also focused on breaking the social stigma surrounding mental health in Bangladesh. Seeking assistance for emotional difficulties should never be viewed as shameful, according to a number of trainers and mediators. Rather, they emphasized the need of creating safe spaces where youth may freely talk about stress, burnout, expectations, and personal struggles.

In today’s world, programs such as the National Youth Wellness Fest are especially important since young people are growing up in an increasingly stressful and emotionally taxing environment. Art, music, conversation, mindfulness, and collaborative activities all serve to decrease stress while also encouraging empathy, critical thinking, and social awareness. These programs serve as a reminder to young people of the importance of emotional health as well to academic or professional achievement.


For the members of Chords, participation in this festival was highly impactful. Through music, movement, artistic expression, and social interaction, members were able to temporarily step away from daily life pressure and everyday stress. The festival created a positive atmosphere where participants could enjoy themselves while also learning practical ways to maintain emotional and mental wellbeing. Many participants felt a renewed sense of motivation, connection, and inner peace after attending the sessions.

The event also encouraged collaboration among students from different universities and organisations. Participants shared experiences, exchanged ideas, and built new friendships in a supportive and welcoming environment. Such interactions strengthened the sense of youth unity and demonstrated how wellness programmes can contribute to building healthier and more compassionate communities.

Another significant part of the festival was the idea that wellness is more than just physical health. The programme emphasised the significance of emotional resilience, self-awareness, creativity, and meaningful human connection. Through activities such as meditation, guided talks, and artistic workshops, students learnt the importance of taking pauses, expressing feelings, and prioritizing mental health in their daily lives.

Overall, the National Youth Wellness Fest 2026 was a successful and inspirational event that addressed a critical issue facing youth today. The program not only increased awareness of mental health issues, but also offered students practical and pleasant techniques to manage stress and promote emotional well-being. Chords’ involvement in this event showed the organization’s dedication to promoting young creativity, connection, and wellbeing.

The festival proved that creating safe and inclusive spaces for young people is essential in today’s fast-paced and stressful world. Students learn that they are not alone in their challenges and that community, creativity, and shared experiences may lead to healing, support, and happiness.
